A few fun things:
Yet another PGC event, but this time, it was mosaics, which are super cool. Mine is at the top right.

We had some good snow, and a few days after, seven police cars outside my apartment for no apparent reason. Exciting. More fun: there was a google offer for a two-day massage class, and I went with three other friends. Very fun and relaxing! I also started a new semester, which doesn't really mean much but I am attending a Photography since WWII class and an organic gardening class, both for pass/fail. Good to take some strange stuff in addition to real work, I think!
Speaking of real work, the department had two awesome things happen: first, one of the professors hosted a Scotch tasting class, where we learned about the process, differences, and how to taste scotch. I've come a long way from that first taste of pop's scotch in the basement (at which point I thought I'd never ever drink again). In retrospect, the photo doesn't really differentiate itself from a piss tasting test, but I promise it was better than that. :) Some of my friends also threw a blacklight party, which was quite entertaining and a great time to take photos.

Foodwise, I tried my hand at some boozy cupcakes (http://bakeitwithbooze.blogspot.com/2011/07/mint-julep-cupcakes.html and http://www.ericasweettooth.com/2011/03/baileys-irish-cream-cupcakes.html mostly) to use up some spare frosting we had, which was very fun! I also had a lot of pistachios that were nearing expiration, so I made amaretto cookies with a pistachio base. Both were tasty. I also succeeded in making udon/egg drop soup which was awesome since I'd not tried it before.

And then I left for Germany! So stay posted about that.
